About Susan

Susan headshotSusan Ernst is an artist, horticulturist, naturalist, wife, and mother. Believing that “beauty will save the world”, she is researching the connections between creativity, nature and spiritual formation at Yale Divinity School, working towards a MA in Religion. In addition, she is participating in a one-year pilot certificate program, Nature Contemplation and Creation Care, through The Center for Religion and Environment at The University of the South. Susan has facilitated art, nature and SoulCollage® workshops and one-day retreats which connect participants to God through these experiences. She also holds degrees in Ornamental Horticulture and Studio Art. Susan lives with her husband and six chickens on a large suburban lot in Stratford, CT.
